Our April Concert is dedicated to the memory of Tony Tonti

Band Librarian and first clarinetist Tony Tonti died from injuries sustained in a tragic hit-and-run accident in late January, 2016.

The Danville Community Band family was shocked to learn that beloved founding member Tony Tonti was killed Friday morning by an alleged hit-and-run driver in Richmond.

According to police, the driver of a 1998 Ford Ranger pickup left the scene of the accident after running a stop sign at high speed and colliding with Tonti. Read more in the Contra Costa Times article.

Tony Tonti joined the Band in its first season and was a fixture in the clarinet section, as well as being the Band's Librarian.
